I loved the Little house and Nancy Drew books - didn't realize that Nancy Drew went back to the 30s! But have only heard of the others. Your post is quite educational? I also remember reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and consider that a classic. As an adult, I have enjoyed The Secret Garden and A Wrinkle in Time and would consider them classics. There are so many great books out there that I have yet to read! (Hoping to get to do that with my dd this year. She's read more Nancy Drew books than I ever did..)I have devoured so much more in the area of picture books (as a lover of children's literature). It's time for me to branch out. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540537129313322603.post-47524147726785203422008-08-12T17:17:00.000-07:002008-08-12T17:17:00.000-07:00I like all those books. Suppose it doesn't hurt to have the dh on their Board of Trustees and on the regional Library System Board, either, eh? As a courtesy, the local library doesn't usually charge us for late fees~they'll renew for us. Now, borrowing through the regional system isn't the same.
